Our Data Methodology

Choosing a B2B data provider means trusting that provider with a real piece of your pipeline. A list that looks large on paper but is stale, poorly sourced, or loosely verified costs you more in wasted outreach and damaged sender reputation than it ever saves in price. This page exists so you do not have to take our sourcing and verification standards on faith. It documents exactly how our databases are built, how often they are refreshed, and what each category of data does and does not include.

If you are evaluating us against another vendor, we would encourage you to ask the same questions of them. Data quality is not a marketing claim, it is a process, and a provider who cannot describe that process in detail is not one you should be licensing data from.

How We Collect Data

Our research team compiles records from a combination of public business directories, government and licensing board registries, company websites, press releases, and permission-based data-sharing partnerships. For regulated professions such as healthcare and education, we prioritize primary sources, meaning the licensing body or institution itself, over secondary aggregators.

We do not scrape data from unknown or unverifiable sources, and we do not purchase bulk lists of unknown provenance. Every record in our system can be traced back to a documented origin, which is part of why we are able to state coverage numbers with confidence rather than rounding up.

Our Multi-Step Verification Process

Sourcing a record is only the first step. Before any contact reaches a client, it moves through the following verification stages:

Contact verification. We confirm the individual is currently employed in the role listed and reachable at the details provided, rather than relying on a snapshot from months or years earlier.

Company validation. We confirm the organization is active, correctly classified by industry (SIC and NAICS), and that firmographic details such as size and revenue band are current.

Live SMTP email verification. Every email address is checked at the mailbox level for deliverability, not just validated for correct domain formatting. This is the single biggest factor in keeping bounce rates low for clients running outbound campaigns.

Duplicate removal. Records are cross-checked against our full database to consolidate duplicates that may have entered through different source channels.

Standardization. Names, titles, departments, phone numbers, and addresses are normalized to a consistent format so the data imports cleanly into your CRM or marketing automation platform without manual cleanup on your end.

Refresh and Maintenance Cycle

Business contact data decays quickly. People change jobs, companies merge or shut down, and email addresses go stale, typically at a rate of 20 to 30 percent per year across the industry. To stay ahead of that decay, our databases are refreshed on a 30-day cycle, and every record is verified again immediately prior to delivery, regardless of when it was last refreshed in our core database.

This two-stage refresh, a standing 30-day cycle plus a pre-delivery check, is what allows us to stand behind the accuracy of a list on the day you actually receive it, not just the day it was last updated in our system.

Data Categories We Maintain

We maintain several distinct databases, each with its own sourcing emphasis. The sections below break down coverage and sourcing detail by category.

Global B2B Data

Our core database covers 160 Million+ verified business contacts across 175+ countries, spanning North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. This dataset underpins our Professional and Executive Email Lists and our Specific Industry Email Lists, and can be filtered by industry, company size, revenue, job function, and seniority to match your Ideal Customer Profile.

Healthcare Data

Our healthcare database covers 12 Million+ providers globally, including 5.5 Million+ in the United States, spanning physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dentists, pharmacists, and allied health professionals. US records are cross-referenced against CMS NPPES records and state medical board licensing data to confirm each provider is active and currently licensed, then verified again at the individual contact level through live SMTP checks.

Healthcare records contain professional practice information only, such as specialty, practice affiliation, and business contact details. They never include patient data of any kind. Browse specialty-level coverage on our Physicians Email Database page, or see the full healthcare data card overview here.

K-12 Education Data

Our K-12 database covers 5.3 Million contacts across public school districts, private schools, and charter schools in the United States, including administrators, department heads, and instructional staff. Records are compiled from public education directories and district records, then verified at both the individual and institution level. See our full Education Industry Data overview for targeting options by institution type, enrollment size, and funding source.

Higher Education Data

Our higher education database covers 1.3 Million contacts across colleges, universities, and postsecondary institutions, including faculty, administration, and procurement roles. This data is sourced from institutional directories and maintained on the same 30-day refresh cycle as our other databases. Details are available on our Higher Education Data page.

Technology and Technographic Data

We track 5,800 distinct technologies in use across 17 Million+ companies worldwide, covering CRM and ERP platforms, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity tools, and marketing technology stacks. This lets you target accounts by what they actually run, not just by job title, which is especially useful for competitive displacement campaigns or complementary product launches. See our Technology Email Lists page for the full breakdown of tracked categories.

Service Industry Data

Our service industry database covers a broad range of licensed and independent service professionals across construction, real estate, financial services, and related fields. Coverage figures for this category are being finalized; contact our team directly for current counts and available filtering options.

What Our Data Does Not Include

To be direct about scope: our databases contain verified business and professional contact information only, names, titles, business email addresses, business phone numbers, and firmographic or technographic detail. We do not compile or sell personal, non-business contact information, and we do not include any category of sensitive personal data such as health records, financial account information, or government identification numbers.

Coverage and available fields vary by database, region, and job function. We confirm exact field availability with you before any list is finalized, so there are no surprises after purchase.
